The Kenyan Alliance Insurance is a leading Insurance and Financial Services Company offering a wide range of financial products and services in insurance. Main Purpose of the Job- (Job Summary)

The role holder is responsible for carrying out payables and receivables roles to ensure timely payments, collections and proper maintenance of client records.

Department. Finance

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring medical invoices are well vouched and payments made before due dates.
  • Ensure all payment invoices are e-tims compliant before processing.
  • Preparation of all payment requisitions, writing cheques and posting online payments.
  • Regular reconciliation of service providers accounts to maintain accurate payables records.
  • Timely communication to providers for the paid and unpaid/outstanding invoices.
  • Timely sharing of payment remittances supports to the providers.
  • Generate necessary monthly payables reports for tax payments purposes.
  • Liaising with Smart applications system vendor to resolve all matters relating to processing of invoices i.e. Off smart/ Reimbursements / Invoice numbers etc.
  • Proper filing of documents.
  • Prompt collection of insurance premiums.
  • Carry out payables and receivables roles to ensure timely payments, collections and proper maintenance of client records.
  • Circulate status report of payables and receivables every month.
  • Update and circulate daily cashflow reports for medical division.
  • Propose payment plans as per available cashflows.
  • Process monthly statutory and regulatory payments.
  • Submit monthly bank reconciliations by 10thof every month
  • Submit monthly management accounts by 5thof every month.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Knowledge & Experience

The candidate must demonstrate and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountantor ACCA qualification
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or business related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, highly confidential and well organized.
  • Must have integrity and high sense of ethical responsibility.

Should be result oriented, good team player with self-drive and interpersonal skills.
