Head of Learning and Development
Tracom Services Ltd is seeking to recruit a Head of Learning & Development to work in its Nairobi office. Responsibilities
- Identify and assess current and future training needs through job analysis, career development plans, annual performance appraisals in consultation with line managers
- Create a curriculum to facilitate Learning & Development programs based on the organizational goals
- Develop and manage the training budget
- Draw an overall and individualized training and development plan that addresses training needs and expected results
- Design and implement a variety of training methods appropriate to meet different training needs
- Organize training logistics including: venue, equipment, meals and transport as needed
- Develop and implement an effective induction program for new hires
- Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and provide related reports to the management
- Work with the Procurement function to source trainers for the different training programs
- Maintain training schedules and ensure they are executed effectively
- Resolve any specific problems that may be encountered during training and adjust training programs as necessary
- Evaluate effectiveness of a training program using appropriate tools and methods
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
- Work with the marketing team for production of program marketing materials
- Communicate all the training programs on a timely basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR or related course
- 5 years working experience in a similar position
- People management skills
