Chief Investment Officer (CICAM)

PURPOSE

The role is accountable for formulating, revising and implementing investment strategies through the investment team and/or in a defined area. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through efforts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing effective investment processes and strategies
  • Conducting thorough research on investment market behavior
  • Providing clients with investment recommendations
  • Ensuring that the investment processes comply with the industry standards and the laws and regulations
  • Keeping up to date with any changes or developments in the investment sector
  • Significant responsibility in assisting the business achieve its objectives

Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or in a related field

Professional Qualifications

  • Qualification in relevant professional field i.e. ICIFA, CFA, CISI (added advantage)

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ relevant experience, (5) years in supervisory role.

Head – Business Development (CICAM)

PURPOSE:

To generate revenue for department and company to within the assigned markets and channels as a source of profitable business for the company through development of strong relationships and partnerships.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and carry out consumer education within the assigned markets and channels.
  • Generate and build revenues through effective daily sales management of BOM Pensions, Sales Manager Unit Trust
  • Sourcing of Business (new & renewal) and services clients.
  • Capacity building of intermediaries in the market
  • Building & maintain strategic alliances for business growth with intermediaries and industry stakeholders
  • Constantly updating clients on new and existing products.
  • Liaising with departments to ensure timely service delivery to the clients.
  • Collect market intelligence reports and prepare reports
  • Oversee development of prompt quotation and tender documents preparation and delivery to clients/intermediaries.

Portfolio Manager (CICAM)

PURPOSE:

Responsible for construction and management of client portfolios. He/she is also responsible for client reporting and making investment decisions within an investment committee.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate and review asset allocation and other investment decisions on an ongoing basis to ensure optimal performance;
  • Attend client’s (existing) meetings to report on portfolio performance and present investment strategy for approval;
  • Monitor, re-balance and re-align the various portfolios to ensure adherence to client mandates, internal house view and regulatory framework;
  • Develop a list of approved counterparties for vetting as part of an investment committee;
  • Conduct portfolio analysis to make recommendation regarding asset allocation;
  • Conduct research on viable opportunities and develop reports on investment analysis to facilitate the investment decision process;
  • Train and orient new clients and assist all members to enhance their knowledge through appropriate educational opportunities;

Fund Administrator– Creations (CICAM)

PURPOSE

The role of the fund administrator – creations, is to provide accountability for day to day on boarding process of new accounts and maintain existing member accounts. The role will deliver operational effectiveness ensuring accuracy in data capturing, correct data handling, prompt account creation, seamless account creation process, TAT on client creation excellent client experience at first touch point.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for reviewing new accounts opening documents as per requirements list
  • Responsible for confirming accuracy of member data captured
  • Review and follow up on source of funds documents from customers
  • Provide delivery of seamless customer service through maintenance of accurate data records.
  • Receive and respond to general enquiries from customers and agents in regards to account opening
  • Responsible for Confirming change of static data as provided
  • Manage calls and complaints on all account opening matters
  • Maintain high service standard levels by maintaining a seamless customer onboarding process.

Senior Customer Service Officer (CICAM)

Purpose

To provide general customer service in respect to all lines of business for all CICAM Departments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Checking on the correspondence Wealth Advisors with CMA regulations.
  • Confirm compliance of the necessary regulatory business licenses.
  • Product input for the customer service reports.
  • Receive, stamp, scan, index and distribute customer mail within the subsidiary
  • Handle phone calls and visitors as well as resolve customers’ communication through electronic and physical channels.
  • Handle customer service issues and queries.
  • Escalate customer queries to the relevant job role if necessary
  • Maintain professional ambience within the office premises
  • Promote organization’s customer service charter
  • Support all CIC event both for internal events and those involving CICAM and Stakeholders and/or the general public
