Stock Controller Job Kenya at Charlie’s Bistro

Salary Scale (40,000-45,000 Gross)

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
  • Entering purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
  • Placing orders to replenish merchandise as needed
  • Overseeing storage of products, particularly of fragile items
  • Evaluating suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
  • Coordinating regular inventory audits
  • Liaising with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
  • Ensuring purchases do not exceed budget
  • Entering inventory data in computer system
  • Managing purchasing and stock orders for incoming equipment, services, and supplies
  • Verifying receipts and confirm purchase contents and orders are complete
  • Ensuring supplied stocks meet demand
  • Keeping track of inventory and supplies that need restocking
  • Developing plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
  • Creating and maintaining detailed inventory of all incoming, outgoing, and current supplies
  • Tracking and ensuring deliveries are received
  • Compiling reports inventory and supply balances
  • Making note of damaged inventory
  • Maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other important data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field a plus
  • Proven work experience(2 years) as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role in a busy Restaurant
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and  organization skills
  • Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with management and staff at all levels
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Working knowledge of inventory management
  • Active participation in inventory audit
