Details:
Role Objective:
To drive the Company’s vehicle in a safe, legal and professional way ensuring passenger safety and comfort, providing good customer service on designated routes as well as driving to set timetables punctually, when it is safe to do so.
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out the activity of driving the company vehicles internal and external distances as the need arises or as directed by Transport Manager.
- To bear the full responsibility of guarding the vehicle that one is assigned in case of breakdown in or outside the company premises.
- To ensure that one has the valid and genuine driving licence at all times
- To ensure that the vehicle updated/valid road licence, insurance policy, T.l.b and inspection sticker.
- To keep the vehicle in good, clean and operation condition, and faults to be reported to the respective concerned immediately.
- To observe that the vehicles are properly serviced on schedule and greased.
- Maintain Driver logbook
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor, manager or senior management.
Key Competencies:
- Must have proven experience of driving commercial vehicles
- Must hold a clean, valid Driving License – accident/claim free
- Must be able to work 6 full days a week and be flexible, given the remote location of the Farm site
- Mature demeanour
- Possess excellent time management skills
