• Solid understanding and experience in the responsibilities stated above in an insurance or reinsurance company.
• Demonstrated and replicable business development/marketing competencies.
• The ideal candidate should be able to engage clients and propose innovative reinsurance solutions in line with the Company’s products.
• Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
• Agile, customer-centric, creative, results and detail-oriented.
• Strong communication, analytical and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare relevant business reports.
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• A self-starter capable of working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
• Accountable with good ethical behavior, honest and transparent. You do as you say and you say as you do.
• An appreciation and interaction with IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts is an added advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of SICS reinsurance management system is an added advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in reinsurance or a similar position.
• Knowledge of Non-Life or Life business underwriting, treaty wordings (proportional and non‐proportional) and facultative.
• Experience in information management and production of management reports relating to both inward and outwards reinsurance

Education

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Engineering, and related fields.
• Professional qualifications or advanced progress in either CII, or Actuarial or Risk
